Breakfast was tasty, with local choices like pempek, martabak kari, nasi minyak, and lontong. There wasn't a huge selection, but the price felt affordable for what you got. The hotel also had a pool, laundry service, a ballroom, meeting rooms, and a mini market on the ground floor. It's one of Palembang's older 4-star hotels, and the central location on Jl. Sudirman made getting around downtown easy. Veteran Street, Sudirman Pedestrian, and Simpang 5 DPRD were all close by. During my stay, only one elevator was working, and the wait to move between floors could reach 10-15 minutes at busy times. My room's AC control didn't work properly either, and the hot water wasn't very hot.

I couldn't sleep that night, and it ended up being a one-time stay for me. The room felt very old, with bathtub stains and a rusty sink and toilet jet spray. Arriving was a shock after seeing the 4-star rating on the booking app. Cigarette smells from the bar near the entrance hit us inside the building, and the corridor was dark and hot. I thought the AC was off, but staff said the building was spacious and I might not feel it.

The room itself was good, but the hotel's Wi-Fi was mostly down. Only rooms that could pick up the ballroom Wi-Fi had a connection. On the main network, YouTube required a VPN, and the connection was quite slow. The food was mediocre, and the showerhead fell on me while I was showering. If you can, get a better hotel.

Parking was limited, and I wouldn't recommend using the basement for cars. The interiors were quite worn out, and I wouldn't count on the Wi-Fi. It's right in central Palembang and has a rustic, vintage feel. It's a shame, since Grand Inna is a well-known 4-star brand in other cities, Bali for example. I might consider coming back.
