Luminor Hotel Palembang

The hotel looks modern from outside, and the staff greeted us with big smiles at both Luminor Jambi and Palembang. But the room quality didn't match what we paid, especially in Palembang, where the 3-star rating is hard to understand. The bathroom smelled, looked dated, and shower water spread across the floor every time one of us used it. The PVC floor was broken and had been covered with carpet instead of repaired. Management needs to improve the service and facilities. Guests should get fair value for their money, not a misleading “3-star hotel” label.

The food was delicious, and the affordable rate makes this a decent option for a short work trip. Getting here is easy, and the comfort was enough for me. Noise carries from the hallway and nearby rooms because the room isn't soundproof, but it was fairly quiet during my stay, so it didn't bother me much.

On my first stay, I felt the room was spacious enough and worth the price. The in-room spa is a must-try. I couldn't find a hairdryer, though, so it seems you have to ask reception for one.

I really like this hotel. It's in a strategic spot with easy access, and the service was outstanding from check-in. The restaurant manager was very friendly, though I can't remember his name. The food tasted good too, especially the green cake dessert 🫶🏻
