The omelette was better than average, and the pool was quiet in the morning with clean water. Breakfast otherwise had a standard menu and average taste. The room was decent and fairly clean, though the furniture is old, much like the lobby and hallway, which have a 90s feel. That might suit anyone after a bit of nostalgia. Its central city location is a strong point.

There are lots of food stalls, restaurants, and cafes nearby, and Taman Kambang Iwak is just across Jalan Merdeka. The pool is great for families with kids, and there's plenty of parking. Swarna Dwipa Hotel is the premiere government-owned hospitality business in Sumatera Selatan. Sitting in the lobby made for a nice rest.

The food is delicious, and they change the menu every day. The amenities are nice too. It's neither a fancy hotel nor a cheap one, but I really recommend the pool. Swimming by itself was very cheap compared with other hotels, especially on Tuesday, when it was at its cleanest.

The bed and sheets were clean, the bathroom was well maintained, and there was free Wi-Fi and breakfast, plus a swimming pool. Getting around the hotel is all stairs, with no elevator, and nobody offered to help with baggage. The parking spots are bad, and the employees could be friendlier. It costs $80 a night unless there's a 50% discount during Ramadhan.

There's a pool and a few meeting rooms, and the hotel may be one of the oldest three-star hotels in Palembang. It's close to the heart of Palembang, just a one-minute walk from Kambang Iwak Family Park, with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby.
