The villa is in the middle of nowhere, though it worked for us because our wedding was just around the corner at Villa Vedas. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and the sheets made my skin itchy. There’s no air conditioning in the main living area, so it gets like a sweat box. The bedroom units weren’t very good either and couldn’t keep up with Bali’s heat. The bathrooms and general cleanliness were disgusting, with mould everywhere. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The staff were attentive and happy to help with anything. The villa is wonderfully spacious, and it’s just a short walk to the beach. There’s a delightful coffee cafe right on the beachfront. Highly recommended.

Our holiday was ruined by noise from the construction directly in front of villa Kawan. They’re building 170 houses, with noise every day from 6 am until 10 pm and no break. The owner never told us about it and won’t refund our money. Offering a 30% discount is a joke. He ought to pay people to stay there. I hope this helps others avoid the same experience.

There are three bedrooms, enough for six people, and a housekeeper is provided. The villa has two floors, a pool, and a view over the rice plantations. Remember to bring insect cream.

We had amazing service, a great host and cook, and lush surroundings. The place was quiet and spacious. There was construction nearby, but it didn’t bother us much.
