The owner and his wife were incredibly kind and helpful with transport and other logistics. They even took our luggage to the bus terminal for free so we could catch the last bus to Medan, which we really appreciated. The rooms were clean and came with a towel, and the harbour was close enough to reach on foot. We enjoyed our stay.

I arrived by bus at 4 in the morning and they let me check in late. The room was clean and had a great view, and they also helped arrange transport to bukit Lawang. A very helpful place to stay, highly recommended.

The owner was really nice and helpful, and speaks English. I paid 100k for a clean, quiet private room with a shared bathroom, close to plenty of places to eat and the ferry dock. Thanks for the hospitality!

I only stayed a few hours after arriving late at night, since I was leaving for Samosir the next day. The docks are nearby and easy to walk to. I rode a scooter from Medan, and the owner's son checked me in. They were nice people, but the dated rooms need refurbishing. It was fine for a short stop, though the water was cold. The phone number listed for this homestay on Google was wrong or unreachable for me, so I'm posting a photo of the actual number.

Our room had a table and chairs overlooking Lake Toba, and there was a comfortable shared area to relax in. The place was very clean, and the owner was friendly. You can walk down to the ferry and restaurants, passing food spots and an indomart on the way. Shared kitchen facilities include hot and cold drinking water. The price was very reasonable, we enjoyed staying here and would come again.
