Avoid this place. It was unhygienic and felt unsafe. There was nobody at reception, no housekeeping, and the shower only ran scalding hot, so it couldn’t be used. The bedding had visible black mould. The water bottles provided were already open and contaminated, and I was sick for more than a week afterward. I had to leave early and find somewhere else. I sent photographic evidence, but the hotel refused a refund, even though the room was clearly unfit to occupy. The conditions were unsafe and unsanitary, and the online listing misrepresented them. This was by far the worst accommodation I’ve stayed in during my travels, and I hope this helps other travellers avoid the same experience. Google keeps blocking my review when I add photos, but I included them in the Tripadvisor review for anyone who wants to see the mouldy bedding.

Vila Agaru is a peaceful place, well away from the hustle and bustle. The rooms are spacious and charming, and the pool is great. Breakfast takes a while, but nobody’s in a rush here, and when it arrives, it’s well prepared and delicious. A lovely stay if you want somewhere quiet to relax.

Friendly, helpful staff, and some kittens around the property. The rooms are large, and the pool is great for the price. I lost a star because the AC and fridge are noisy, and there was nobody at reception when I arrived late, though I realize it was a late arrival.

It’s clean and tucked away, and the staff are nice. The pool is okay, and breakfast has only four dishes. Just don’t expect hotel-style service.

Really beautiful, clean accommodation, and the staff were amazing. They offered to clean my room during the stay, and I rented a motorbike from them for a very good price. It’s a bit far out, but that also makes it quiet and peaceful. They’re still building some of the villa rooms, since it’s a new place, but there wasn’t any noise. I’d highly recommend it for a couple.
