The price was excellent value, just $29 for two people per night. Breakfast was included, and there’s a good carpark for Bluebird taxi pickups and drop-offs. The free unlimited WiFi made it easy to download the app, and taxis are cheap. Beaches are only 10-15 minutes away by cab. You can also hire a motor scooter, which is fun. The place was clean and relaxed, with a lovely pool and friendly, helpful staff. Shops nearby sell pretty much anything you might need, and there’s healthy, fresh, inexpensive local food close by. Delali cafe upstairs was delicious, with Indonesian and western choices. Our double standard room with ensuite had no fridge, TV, or kettle. They lent me a kettle for free for our six days, though, so we could make tea and coffee in the room.

The guesthouse is well located, so you can get to everything easily by scooter, and the pool is okay. But the dark mold was everywhere. The room smelled intolerable, especially the bathroom. We stayed five nights and didn’t even want to shower. Afterwards, I had to wash all my clothes because everything smelled disgusting. I don’t know how they can offer rooms like that. The smell was so bad, and they’re really playing with guests’ health. Really sad to see.

The bathroom was very basic, and the drains smelled pretty bad. Still, the staff were nice, and in the morning someone brought me a coconut by the pool. The pool itself is nice, and the location is just off the main road. It was clean, so okay for a night or two.
