Eaze Villas Uluwatu

The bed was comfortable, but that was about the only comfort we found at Eaze Villas. The grounds look stunning at first, especially the infinity pool facing all that tropical greenery, yet the villa was in poor shape. The toilet bowl was brown, the linens were stained, and there was a bad smell throughout. The bathroom reeked of sewage, the shower smelled of urine, and the kitchen and living area were nauseating. Wi-Fi was almost impossible to use. Service was just as disappointing. Staff didn't speak English, so even simple questions were hard, and they came across as uninterested and untrained. We'd stayed in four hotels during our Bali trip, and this was easily the worst service. They lost our breakfast order on the first morning, and the menu was limited, nowhere near what you'd expect from a high-end hotel. When we asked about cocktails, the waiter couldn't even say whether they had alcohol. At 3 a.m. one night, an alarm started ringing and went on for more than an hour. No staff were on site, no one picked up the phone, and we had to wander around trying to find help. Eventually the reservations manager replied on WhatsApp and drove 30 minutes to turn it off himself. The only compensation offered was a 20 percent discount on four piña coladas. That felt disappointing and unworthy of a place marketed as luxury. We can't recommend Eaze Villas.
