After more than 20 years, I came back to this hotel. It’s one of the older hotels in Pekalongan, and unlike other hotels from that era that new owners have refurbished, it seems to have stayed much the same. The rooms are old, but I still found it good value, especially for a small town. I got a room for just under Rp 120K. The owner needs to make a lot of improvements to the toilets, which are below standard, though that may be difficult during this kind of pandemic situation. Two things I did like were the very reliable free Wi-Fi and the friendly staff. Most of them have worked at the hotel for years.

I found the place a bit creepy, and even for a one-night stay it was really bad. If you want decent hotel service, you won't get it here. There are plenty of better options, like namira, dafam, horison, pesonna, and others.

The food and hygiene were both pretty good, and the station is very close. But the building is old and expensive for what it offers. It's right beside the highway, with heavy traffic, so there's dust, strong vibration, and a lot of noise. The facilities are adequate for a two-star hotel, though comfort and price don't really match.

The room was dirty and the service was poor. They advertised a price of 83k, but I had to pay more at check-in, so that price didn't feel real. I wouldn't recommend it.

It's cheap, but the hotel sits right by the main Pantura road. On the second floor, heavy trucks make the floor sway like there's an earthquake when they pass.
