I’m still staying here, and the view is the one good thing I can point to. The rest has been frustrating. The safe didn’t work when I arrived, and it took four reports before it was fixed on my third day. Breakfast has been terrible, with almost nothing to eat and no staff around to help. After laundry is done, you have to go find it yourself because no one brings it to your room. The bar downstairs has bottles on display, but no menu, draft beer, whiskey, or bartender. Staff say they aren’t allowed to open the bottles, and no one can serve anything.

There’s just one room I’d pick here, the Vitamin Sea Room. Waking up, pouring a hot coffee, and looking out at the sea was so calm and relaxing. One of my best staycation experiences.

The hotel was affordable, and I appreciated how quickly they replied on WhatsApp and helped refund my original booking, which I’d made by mistake. But I wouldn’t come back for comfort or safety. It seems set up for locals and domestic travelers with basic needs. We could hear people in the lobby on Level 3, laughing and talking loudly for both nights. I can’t tell whether the lobby PlayStation was part of the problem. At midnight the first night, after I told reception they were disturbing our sleep and sitting outside our room, people kept knocking and saying hello at our door. It was scary. I wondered where hotel security was. We didn’t see anyone at the entrance during the day either, and people seemed to come in freely. The room issues mentioned in past reviews were real for us: the air conditioning kept failing, and the shower would suddenly lose water. The pillows were very hard, and the kettle lid was faulty. Some receptionists, apart from Shawal, said yes to requests but didn’t follow through. The room cleaner was more helpful and alerted the mechanics to fix the problems.

The location is good enough, but the breakfast menu needs more regular changes, and the room facilities should be checked and cleaned. The hotel also isn’t friendly to people with disabilities.
