Cititel Hotel Pekanbaru

The location is next to a busy area, with a mall and recommended street food nearby. At breakfast, Billa and Sakila from F & B gave me great service, and Kak Ria at the front office was attentive to my requests. The room was nice and fairly spacious, and the amenities were outstanding, even including a comb. The buffet was always clean and smelled good, the TV programming wasn't boring, and the staff spoke English and Indonesian. Thank you, keep treating your guests well. Cititel Hotel Pekanbaru is a budget option within walking distance of Pekan Baru's business district. A mall, market, and some well-known local food spots are nearby, and you can walk or use an e-hailing service to get around the city. The decor is simple but modern, and there are a few room types. Rooms are on the small side, suitable for two people, and the bed was comfortable enough. There's a regular TV with some local and international channels, and the AC cooled the room well. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. There was no bottled mineral water, but you can refill your own bottle at the dispenser in the corridor on each floor. The in-room Wi-Fi speed was decent, and the room was clean. Housekeeping could be faster: we got back at 2 pm and the room still hadn't been made up. The bathroom is a comfortable size, with an open shower and no partition. Hot and cold water were available, the pressure was okay, and soap and a toothbrush were provided. There's no hairdryer, and they could add more hooks for clothes. Breakfast is included for in-house guests, served buffet style in a comfortable, clean restaurant. The spread was simple: plain rice, fried noodles, two cooked dishes, plain toast, porridge, cut fruit, mixed local vegetables with peanut sauce, squash, and hot tea and coffee. There are meeting rooms and banquet and event facilities, with event packages available. Open-air parking is outside the hotel complex. The crew's friendliness and hospitality were so-so. For a short business trip or vacation in Pekan Baru, Cititel is worth considering.

The staff were helpful, and the room was good.

Breakfast was fairly good, and the bathroom and bed linen were fine. The rate is on the low side for a three-star hotel, but staff support was lacking during our visit. They should have pest control check every room, especially for small cockroaches.
