We stayed for a week, and for the price, I think it was worth it. The pool was very nice, and the gym had plenty of equipment, though a few things weren’t working, including the treadmill. The bathroom was kind of gross, with moldy shower gaskets, and even though we booked a non-smoking room, the bathroom often smelled like cigarettes. I think it may have come from another room. The hallway also looked like it only got vacuumed once a week. I’m not upset about it given the price.

We were satisfied with our eight-night stay. This was our first time at an Ibis, and the room was always clean. The connecting doors were useful, and we were given four days of breakfast at Mercure even though we stayed at Ibis, which was very nice. We could still hear some low-level noise from other rooms. Some guests left food rubbish outside their doors, and it got a bit smelly in the hallway. Trash should be collected periodically. Thanks for the stay.

The bathroom maintenance could be better, but I still had a great stay and felt it was worth my time and money. The staff were friendly and professional, and seemed very well trained. My room was nice and clean, and I really enjoyed the pool. It’s not far from Malioboro, and if you’re up for a walk, one of the city’s biggest malls is within walking distance too.

We had a serious problem with cigarette smoke in our non-smoking room. The smell came around 8 PM and then again at 2 AM, and we couldn’t sleep. We don’t know where it came from, but we’ve never experienced such a strong smell of cigarettes in the middle of the night, especially at 2 AM. The building is shared with Grand Mercure, as is the basement parking. The pool is also shared, and it’s a very good facility for an ibis-level hotel. The lobby is off to the side, and there was no bell service to help take our luggage from the car. Rooms are standard ibis size, with fairly new-looking furniture, shower boxes, and no refrigerator. Drinking water comes in glass bottles, with no refill dispenser. The air conditioning was extremely cold, and the room stayed cold even after we switched it off. Breakfast was standard for ibis. Accor members can redeem a welcome drink at the Grand Mercure restaurant, with juice, coffee, tea, or soft drinks depending on membership level. That’s a good benefit for an ibis-level hotel, though you can’t take the drink away.
