Baliwood Residence Villas II

The hosts were incredible, greeting me in person, showing me to my room, and taking me around the villa. I first booked because I liked the design, then found there was so much more to it. The amenities were top quality and the staff very attentive. I couldn't fault anything. It's a quiet area, even with construction going on. I still managed a midday nap, maybe because the glass is thicker or something. There's also a quick shortcut road straight to Pererenan Road and all the cafés. I walked to St Ali most of the time, about 5 minutes, and it was less than 5 minutes by bike to Shelter for dinner.

The Baliwood community is fantastic, and I just loved it. Rebecca was a wonderful host and such a nice person, easy to communicate with and full of good advice about outdoor activities and restaurants. The villa was very clean, and the cleaning staff were nice and respectful. Everyone in the community was great, especially Sebra, and Jooj the beautiful cat 😍 Can't wait to come back to your villa ❤️ Sending kisses from Switzerland 😘

The rooftop is what makes this villa special, especially the jacuzzi up there. It's incredibly well designed and only a 2 minute walk from the beach. I stayed at Baliwood villas for 5 days and would definitely recommend it. And to top it off, the staff were gentle and super friendly with us. Thanks again.

The housekeeper Julius was a pleasure to deal with, and these two stars are for him. The rest of the experience was poor. On the first night there was a power outage, then on the second night the water stopped working when we got back from touring Ubud. We missed our dinner reservation because of that. The room curtains were dirty and stained. On our first night, while we were in the pool, the owner came into the villa without warning to tell us about the noise restrictions after 10pm. We are all grown adults who can read the house rules, and it felt rude, especially since we didn't know who she was. The villa manager could easily have sent that in a message. We asked if we could pay to extend our stay because we had a late flight. The manager, Arthur, said it had been booked at the last minute, but it was still available online. When we pointed out the lie, he left us on seen and stopped replying. That was unprofessional. I'd probably avoid the villa and choose somewhere closer to Canggu with better value, more professional management, and owners who don't barge in on guests.
