The Hideout Hostel

There’s a slack line, plus free water, coffee and tea, and the atmosphere is great with friendly people. This is the best hostel I’ve stayed at in Canggu, and I’ve tried quite a few. Yoga starts at 10am, and the teacher, Holli, is very experienced and attentive to detail. She runs a great class for all levels.

It feels like a home away from home, with clean, comfortable beds, a fridge and kitchen to use, a lovely garden, and outdoor hangout spots with slack lines, a pool and comfy chairs. There are dogs too! With just two rooms of eight beds each, it’s quiet but still social. A great hostel for hanging out.

The pool and common spaces are nice, the room AC works well, and the capsule beds give you a sense of privacy. Scooter rental is cheap. But for the price, I wouldn’t call this the best hostel. It wasn’t very clean, and when we arrived to check in, they didn’t have sheets to make the beds.

The garden, hammocks, pool and chill area make it a lovely spot, especially if you’re travelling on a budget. It’s on a quiet street in Canggu, close enough to the beach, bars and restaurants. Staff were really helpful, and hiring a moped was easy. You can also sign up for morning yoga classes, and guests have access to a free gym :D
