Joan is a wonderful host, and we feel right at home at Villa Joan. We first stayed there in June 2012, and have come back twice a year ever since. Great villa, the best in Bali!

The peaceful setting has several outdoor spots where you can sit with a book, along with a spectacular pool. There are also spectacular rooms surrounded by nature, close to the beach and local entertainment venues. I spent a week at the villa five years ago and have only good things to say about it, Joan, and the people who run the house. Joan is very kind, knows a lot about the country, and has a wealth of life experience. Hearing her story in her own words is well worth it. She also cared about making sure I was comfortable and at ease throughout my stay. Thank you, Joan, for those moments. I highly recommend the villa. You won't regret it.

Our 17 days at Villa Joan in Bali were relaxed and easy. It's a quiet place with everything we needed, and Joan and his Balinese family were always attentive. We explored lots of places and restaurants, with Putu as our guide and driver. I recommend it 100%.
