The owners made our stay easy. They let us leave our bags while we went to Bromo, then use the shared space to shower and wait for our train the next day. The kitchen has enough to cook with, and you can also get food here. Laundry was good and came back the same day, while nearby places charge more for express service and regular laundry can take three days. Rooms are simple but very clean, with AC, and the price is among the best around for the quality and service. There are plenty of cheap warungs nearby, the local market is a 20-minute walk, and the train station is 3 minutes away on foot. Around the corner, there’s a nice project where a lovely man teaches art to kids, and you can watch them perform local Javanese dances. We’re glad we found this place and really recommend it. Thanks for the hospitality. ☺️

I booked after reading the reviews on Booking and was disappointed when I arrived. The room was large, but the bedsheet was dirty and the AC didn’t cool. When I mentioned it, the owner said it was fine and that nobody else had complained, only me. That felt weird. The room was also close to the road, so traffic noise went on all night and I couldn’t sleep properly. A really bad experience.

The double room had AC, and I slept well, except when other guests didn’t keep quiet at night. Coffee and drinking water were provided too. The hospitality was extraordinary, and the quality for the price was excellent. I really enjoyed staying here and absolutely recommend it.

The food was delicious, and the laundry was both cheap and excellent. The kind owners also helped arrange a Mt Bromo tour and even dropped us at the bus station. A lovely little hostel, definitely recommended.

They’re helpful and flexible, and you can rent a scooter to head up to the mountain on your own. It’s a spacious but simple hostel in Probolinggo, and a good starting point for a Bromo hike.
