Amed Kunara Guest House

A little garden sits right outside the rooms, and the location is handy, just at the entrance to Amed. It was mostly quiet at night, though road noise could sometimes be heard. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower was great. Wi-Fi was provided and had good speed, and the included breakfast was very nice. I stayed a few nights and was happy with it.

Kadek and her cat Katty were the best part of our four days here. Kadek was warm and welcoming, took care of everything we needed, and pointed us to some excellent nearby restaurants. One became our favorite in Bali. Katty loves air conditioning and kept trying to sneak into our room; if we let her, she’d even sleep with us. The place is close to the sea but tucked away from the noisy main road. Our room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the banana pancake breakfast was delicious. We did have a brief power cut, after which the Wi-Fi stopped working. We were here to dive, though, not surf the internet.

We stayed a long time and have no regrets. The family were lovely, and breakfast was great, especially the pancakes. There are two beautiful dogs and an even more beautiful cat. They also rent scooters, which was really useful. We’d definitely stay here again.

The value for money surprised us, from the friendly welcome to the comfortable, very clean room. Our separate one-room villa was quiet even though it’s right in the village centre, with little cafes and the sea easy to reach. The bed was lovely and comfortable, and the shower had good hot water.
