Kura Kura Divers Lodge

I’d stay here again. Shops are easy to reach on foot, so you don’t have to hire a bike. The rooms are good, with nice air con and rainfall shower heads. Staff can arrange scooters and transportation, which I really liked. They can book heaps of activities too, though I brought my own snorkel gear and didn’t need that.

We stayed at Kura Kura Divers Lodge in September 2025. The location is excellent, with everything we needed close by. We still found it useful to rent a scooter to explore Amed and the surrounding area, since there’s plenty to see and do in this beautiful part of Bali. The restaurant was great, and breakfast was generous and delicious. Our room and bathroom were clean, though the bedside lamps and some bathroom fittings showed a little wear. The air-conditioning was a real plus, and the pool was lovely, especially for beginner divers. It’s good value for money, with the on-site dive center, Kura Kura Divers, as an added bonus. We did a refresher course with Ben and Wayan, who were fantastic. For diving and exploring, this was a practical base, and we’d highly recommend giving it a try.

The dive sites around Amed were a highlight, with loads of variety and life, from vibrant reefs to fascinating little critters. Every dive felt like a new adventure. I’d just completed my PADI Rescue Diver certification with Bali Reef Divers – Kura Kura Amed in November 2025, and I couldn’t have picked a better place. Ben and Milena deserve a special mention. They were amazing instructor/dive master, professional, knowledgeable, patient, and calm. Their explanations were clear, and their passion for diving and marine life really comes through. The course was very well structured, balancing theory with hands-on work in the onsite pool and later in the open ocean. I had so much fun, learned a lot, and feel my diving skills have reached the next level. I also spent 6 nights in one of their rooms. Waking up to lush green palm, banana, and mango trees made me feel like a king. It was quiet and restful, and I didn’t encounter a single mosquito. Everything is well sealed and comfortable. Breakfast from their own kitchen was delicious, and all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. This place is run with passion, skill, and heart. I highly recommend Bali Reef Divers Kura Kura Amed whether you’re learning, improving, or just after unforgettable dives. Thanks to the whole team for an amazing experience. I hope to be back!

The hotel is a short walk from the beach and close to plenty of restaurants and cafes. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, and the staff were friendly and quick to help whenever we needed anything. Our clean, reasonably spacious room looked out onto the pool, which made it more enjoyable. Breakfast had a decent range, but the taste could be better since some dishes were quite salty. Given the affordable rates, we thought it was great value and would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
