The host was welcoming and cooks tasty food, so we ended up eating at the restaurant for almost every meal, even though our room had a proper fridge and full kitchen. The room was very spacious and clean, and you can pet some very cute cats. Scooter rental is offered at a reasonable price. Can’t recommend it enough.

We’ve stayed here for a month and are sad to leave, but we’ll be back for another month in a few eeeks time. It’s great for a longer stay, with a super friendly team, a basic but tasty Warung, a pool that’s perfect for cooling off, and a very comfortable bed. The location is great too, close to the beach for sunrise walks. Definitely recommend for long stays if you’re looking for cheaper rooms. Request the wooden joglos by the pool.

The staff were so warm and friendly that I nearly felt like family. They helped whenever I had a problem, and the food was good. The WiFi worked perfectly and the A/C did what it should. It’s a bit far from town, so you’ll want to hire transport. My bed was a little firm, and we had no hot water, though I didn’t ask about it. I’d stay again. My advice is to ask for a room furthest from the road.

We planned on a week and ended up extending our stay because we had such an incredible time at Pondok Tirta. It’s a small local family business, which is lovely to see and support. The family were friendly and made the service feel very homey. They helped us with everything, including getting taxis. The bungalows were spacious and clean, and breakfast was included with a variety of choices. You can also get homemade food here for lunch and dinner, and it’s good and affordable. The peaceful location is away from the busy center but close enough, with the beach about a 10-minute walk away. Diving La Vida Loca is right next door and highly recommended. There are also small shops, cafés and a massage center on the same street. If you want clean, pleasant accommodation in a quiet setting for a more than fair price, I recommend this place 100%.
