The staff were so thoughtful and friendly, and seemed to think of everything we might need. The room and bed were super clean, and the shared bathrooms were spotless too, with toilet paper and shampoo. Dinner was delicious. They cooked for us even though the restaurant had already closed. Tea, Coffe, and water were free, and there was safe parking for the motorbike.

I’ve stayed here twice now, and I’m already looking forward to coming back to Flores and staying again. The owners and staff are so kind and attentive, and I felt welcome right away. When I arrived, they invited me to a family dinner with other guests. We shared food and laughs, and it felt like being with family. I was happy in the dorm. The beds were comfortable and had privacy curtains, and everything was very clean, including the bathrooms. Hot showers were a lovely surprise, especially at such an affordable place. I also loved the social area, with its cozy couches, lots of plants, and calm, homey feel. Breakfast is free, with three options to choose from. It was delicious and carefully prepared. The warm welcome from everyone here is what stands out most.

Our driver suggested this stop for one night on the way to Labuan Bajo, and we were glad we listened. The family room worked perfectly for four of us. It was spacious, very clean, and had its own bathroom and toilet. We all slept well. We could hear the road a little, but it wasn’t a big deal. Breakfast was really good, with a vegetarian burger made from egg and vegetables, plus chocolate toast. The coffee was just okay. Wi-Fi worked well in the room, though there was none in the breakfast area. The front desk pointed us to La Cucina, an Italian restaurant an 11-minute walk away. The food there was delicious, and we recommend it too :)

I reached Chacha Homestay after seven hours on a scooter, feeling awful. I’d just come down with dengue fever and spent 11 days in bed. Ayu and her family cared for me, and a doctor came by every day. I think they saved my life. Those 11 days were terrible, but being looked after by these angels became one of my best memories from Indonesia. I highly recommend staying here, whether you’re well or sick.
