It's incredibly clean and super cheap, with what felt like Japanese hospitality in Ruteng, Flores?! I definitely recommend it. There's also a cafe nearby called agape cafe, with great food and delicious, cheap Kompyang, the local bread.

The hot shower worked well, the breakfast was great, and the omelette was excellent. We had comfortable beds and pillows in our twin room. The staff were very friendly, and there's secure parking inside for scooters. It's in a good location. You hear some noise from outside during the day, but it was relatively quiet at night for a place in the town center.

The family were incredibly welcoming and helpful, with free-flowing water and tea. WiFi was strong and stable. I stayed in the dorm and was lucky to have it all to myself. It was clean and nicely designed, with a comfortable, clean bed. There's one shared bathroom downstairs, with reliable hot water, shampoo and soap. Towels can be rented for 10k. Scooters cost 100k per day, but guests aren't allowed to ride them to Wae Rebo. I forgot to take photos of the rooms and interior, but this is one of the best guesthouses in central Ruteng.

Right by the main market, this is very central but still quiet and welcoming. The family were friendly and helpful, and the old house is well kept, with lovely wooden floors. We had a comfortable queen double upstairs with a shared bathroom and a fan, which we didn't need in January because the weather was nice. The whole place felt relaxed. One of the best homestays on Flores, and we'd definitely return.

We only stayed a night, but the comfortable bed and large bedroom left us feeling refreshed and wishing we could stay longer. The owner was wonderful and very efficient, booking our bus and seeing us off. The room felt homely, with water and mints. Our shared bathroom was barely used and was one of the cleanest we've come across on the trip. Breakfast was decent and thoughtful, and I'm pretty sure the condiments were homemade. A relaxing stay, thank you!
