I sat in the empty restaurant for 20-30 minutes without anyone asking if I wanted a drink or to order. There were employees around, but they seemed busy with their phones instead of serving. No wonder the restaurant was empty if this is how customers are treated. I'm staying here now.
8/10
The food was delicious, and my room was comfortable enough to get some rest. For a business trip, the price was quite cheap. It's a beautiful, huge property, and I heard it's Samarinda's second-oldest hotel. Lots of wood gives it a classic feel, and there's an unused mini golf course. Service was very slow to respond, though, and management should look into improving that.
6/10
The food still tastes good, nice work. I stayed one night in a cottage room, and compared with my last visit in 2015, I'd like to see the cleanliness and room tidiness improve. I hope Mesra updates its facilities in the future.
8/10
There's a big pool area for kids, and the king-size bed comes with a balcony outside the room. Even the superior room has a bathtub. The hotel is fairly old, with traditional furniture and setup. The room Wi-Fi was slow, and no TV channels were available.
4/10
We had a somewhat nice stay, but the service was slow and the front desk wasn't very kind to customers. The booking system felt old-fashioned. Even though our company had booked the room, they wouldn't let us go in right away, despite how tired we were after the trip.
