Qub Rooms

The room was spacious, the bathroom really clean, and the interior design had an aesthetic feel. The hotel is in central Semarang and was much more comfortable than I expected. Parking is very spacious since it shares a lot with the other shophouses, and the staff welcomed and served us warmly. There’s no elevator yet, so you have to use the stairs, but that wasn’t a problem for me. I was especially impressed that the TV was a Smart TV. Hotels at similar prices rarely have one, and that was a big plus for me. I’d definitely stay here again on a Semarang vacation. Highly recommend it.

The unique interior looks cool, and the rate felt fair for a convenient location not far from Simpang Lima. What needs work is the tidiness: I found stains on the bed cover. There’s usually only one staff member handling two jobs, reception and room cleaning, which is a shame.

We spent about three days here, arriving around 1 am, and check-in was easy. Just a heads-up, you need to leave a valid ID card during the stay. We chose a deluxe room with a window; it was comfortable enough, and the shower’s hot water worked perfectly. The accommodation’s WiFi was reliable for my Zoom meeting with my team. Breakfast isn’t really our thing, so next time we might book room only. There’s no elevator, so be ready for stairs, though that didn’t bother us. The staff were friendly enough, and we were able to extend our stay with a late check-out until 6 pm for a 50% charge. Qub rooms is inside Ruko Bangkong Plaza, which has plenty of parking. For budget or backpack-style travel, I’d recommend staying here.

Many restaurants are nearby, and the hotel is very close to the city center. It’s a good budget option with friendly staff who were helpful. The price was good too, and I’d really like to return.
