I had a really pleasant stay at Whiz Hotel Pemuda Semarang. Mas Wahyu at reception was especially helpful. I’d give him 10 stars if I could 🤩 I booked through agoda but chose the wrong dates. I called Whiz Hotel Pemuda Semarang, and Mas Wahyu answered. He couldn’t find my booking at first, then realized I’d picked the wrong date. He helped me out and gave me agoda’s phone number so I could change it. I finally met him when I checked in and thanked him in person. Mas Wahyu is a lovely person. Thank you so much ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The room was quite nice, with a comfortable bed and working AC, though it was a little noisy sometimes. There was hot water, but the amenities were very basic. Breakfast was just okay. I stayed three days and was allowed to check out late, at 1 pm, which was a plus. The hotel is within walking distance of a shopping mall, tourist attractions, street food, and a convenience store. It’s also not too far from the train station.

The staff were exceptionally polite and welcoming, and the rest of the room facilities were great. Still, the AC made a horrible noise, and the Wi-Fi was unstable. At times it was impossible to connect. I took a video and have a screenshot of the connection issue. There was also a smaller annoyance with the kettle. Its lid wouldn’t stay open, so pouring water into it was awkward because it kept closing. I’m sorry to leave three stars, but when staying with a renowned company like Whiz and paying a lot for a room, I think properly working AC and Wi-Fi are the least we can expect.
