Bumi Aditya Hotel

We were tempted by the discounted Agoda price and thought we’d save some money. That was a bad call. The first room they showed us hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest, with hair in the bed, dirty sheets, water in the bathroom, and a really bad smell. The two other rooms they offered were even worse, so we had to find somewhere else at the last minute. At least the staff were nice and refunded us 👌 PS, there’s a mosque right beside the hotel, so be prepared.

The room was okay for the price, but the water kept cutting off during the evenings. I didn’t trust the pool. It hadn’t been maintained, and even after I tried cleaning it there were still oil patches on the surface. There was no sign of chlorine, and green algae was growing along the sides.

The pool seemed decent, haha, and the place looks cute from outside. But once we saw the rooms, the neglect felt real compared with the way they’re advertised. We chose the cheaper rooms, but didn’t expect them to be dirty. The first was so dusty and unclean that we had to switch. I felt itchy and gross whenever I spent time in it, maybe the AC units badly need cleaning. The second room was slightly better and less itchy, but the pillows were still moldy. We had to ask staff for towels, toilet paper, and soap, since neither room had any. I really wish I had more positives to share.

We booked a standard room, but found dust all over the cupboard, hairs on the bed, and holes in it. The bathroom was beyond words, and the pool had no sunbeds and looked dirty. This was the shock of our holiday. We left without spending a single night there, and definitely wouldn't recommend it to Western tourists.
