Attara Inn Senggigi

The garlic bread was rock solid, with a long black hair grilled into it. I also ordered tuna salad, but when I cut into it the tuna was raw. We decided to leave. Don't eat here! The room price is lovely, but watch out for big cockroaches crawling on the bathroom wall. The bathroom is very old, needs refinishing, and stinks.

The restaurant serves great food, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. It's close to the port and downtown. The rooms were a bit small, and if you like a good hot shower, this place doesn't have one.

We got there a few hours early, but were able to check in ahead of time without any trouble. For a one-night stay, it was really good, especially for the price. The place is clean and nicely furnished, with a good layout: the pool is just steps from the hallway on one side, and the restaurant, Makan-Makan, is just as close on the other. There's also a 15% discount at the restaurant. The beach is an easy 15-minute walk downhill. The only small drawbacks were dripping bathroom pipes and a cold shower, which my wife wasn't happy about.

The rooms, bathroom, and pool were clean, the food was perfect, and the staff were very nice. We even met a friend of Fiq Buble on staff, who recommended a very good surf school and a personal driver for the Wild Life Park and the surrounding area. Thanks as well for the spilled coffee in the room. It's a pleasant, clean hotel, with a pool and a nice seating area. If we come to Lombok again, we'll only stay here.
