For a small hotel in a small town, it’s not bad. The room was clean, tidy, and roomy, with a mini fridge and smart TV. They provide basic toiletries, and the hot water worked fine. There’s no telephone. Famous Lovina beach is close enough to walk to.

The rooms and bathrooms are roomy, and breakfast was delicious. It’s a lovely hotel with a pool, just a short walk from Lovina Beach.

We had room 705, overlooking the pool and mini restaurant. The shower barely had any water pressure, though the sink and toilet were both fine, so I didn’t feel comfortable swimming when I couldn’t rinse off or wash my hair. The pool water looked a bit green when I first saw it, but by the next morning it was fine to use. We’d come back from visiting some waterfalls, unfortunately in the rain, which kept going after 11 AM, and stayed at Grand Melka. If you don’t want to go out, there’s a basic lunch and dinner menu at reasonable prices: noodles and fried rice, kwetiau, vermicelli, burgers, sandwiches, cap cay, fresh fruit, juice, and local coffee.
