Lata Lama

Set among padi fields and an easy walk from the beach, Latalama has a lovely location. The food was exceptional, and the staff worked hard to make things easy, from bringing breakfast to the accommodation to arranging trips. Each house has its own character, with detail everywhere, and staying there felt like stepping into a fairytale. We didn't have trouble with insects. There were a few friendly lizzards, but you find those anywhere in Asia, and a mosquito net is provided. I can't recommend latalama enough. Thank you.

The hosts are so kind, and we felt comfortable and relaxed the whole time. Big thanks to the lovely lady who made breakfast. It's pet friendly too, which was really handy.

We stayed at Lata Lama for two nights in May 2025. The room was smaller than it appeared in the photos, and with two large bags there wasn't much room to move. We kept our bags inside because there were insects outside. The sound insulation wasn't great either: we could hear rain on the roof and all kinds of insects. The road to the villa is mud and grass, with no lights at night, so take care if you're riding a motorbike. There were good things too. The owner replied quickly, and the spot is near the centre but away from the main road. Breakfast was included and healthy, the staff were polite, and there was a basic kitchen and fridge. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the mosquito net could be opened and drawn over the bed.

The team at Lata Lama took such kind care of us, especially since we weren't feeling well when we arrived. Our villa was beautiful and comfortable, and having our own pool made it easy to unwind. It's quiet there, though still close to the beach and main road. We loved our two nights and wished we'd booked a third. Highly recommend it if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Lovina.
