Amaranta Prambanan Yogyakarta

My stay for a few days was memorable, though the dining and service need attention. At breakfast, some food tasted reheated, almost like leftovers, and the staff hadn’t set out the utensils even though service starts at 7 AM. After I ate, dirty plates were left on the table, so I had to ask the staff member by the entrance to clear them. I expected the dining area to be ready and staff to be more attentive. The bathroom was another problem: there was no bidet, and the weak exhaust left it poorly ventilated and uncomfortable after use. The experience left an impression, but better management and hospitality would help meet guest expectations more consistently.

Rita at the Tree Restaurant and Ciara at the front desk were especially warm and attentive. The shuttle driver was great too, though I missed his name. He took me to Prambanan Temple and picked me up, spotting me right away on a busy street. I loved the pool and its stunning view, and breakfast had one of the best ranges of choices I’ve had in Jogja. Amaranta Prambanan Yogyakarta has a peaceful hilltop setting and wonderful hospitality. I’d highly recommend it for a quiet getaway with a magnificent view.

The room noise was a real problem for me. I could hear guests upstairs from early morning through late at night, and the poor sound insulation between rooms and floors made it hard to sleep. The sheets were stained when I arrived and weren’t changed during my stay. The views are fantastic, both in daylight and at night, with the city and Prambanan Temple below and Mount Merapi behind them. The location and scenery are excellent, but better room upkeep and soundproofing would improve the experience, especially for a hotel rated five stars.

I stayed at Amarantha in February, and the peaceful setting made it a really pleasant break. There’s lush greenery all around and a lovely view of Mount Merapi. The pool is nice, and you can book a massage too. It’s quiet and relaxing, just right for getting away from the usual busy surroundings. Breakfast was somewhat limited, but decent enough to get the day started.
