The building management were nice to deal with and helpful. I spent a few months here and found the apartment clean and comfortable. There’s a pool, a gym, and a fairly big study room that could also work as a co-working space for students. The complex also has a couple of laundry shops, a mini market, and a restaurant.

I spent about four months here during my exchange semester. It’s a decent apartment complex in Yogyakarta, though what it’s like depends a lot on the landlord since each unit has a different owner. Be careful about which room you choose and who you sign with. I wouldn’t recommend my first landlord, Purwanto. He kept my 1,000,000 IDR deposit after I moved out, despite our agreement. My second landlord, Shaora, was the opposite: her unit was well equipped, and she was friendly and responsive, which made things much more comfortable. Management does some pest treatment, but in my experience it wasn’t very thorough, so tenants may need to arrange extra pest control themselves.

I rented a day recently for my CPNS test at UGM, and the apartment was good value at the reasonable weekend rate. The room was clean and smelled fresh, and the facilities were impressive. The bathroom was generally fine, though its uneven floor caused water to pool a bit. The owner responded promptly, and the spacious parking area was convenient too.

I was at Taman Melati for nearly a month, and it had all the basic amenities I needed. The balcony view was excellent from my unit on one of the top floors. It’s very close to UGM. There are 15 floors, with a gym, swimming pool, walking ground, and more. If you’re staying, a monthly parking pass is probably the better option.

The service was bad. The AC didn’t work properly, and the electricity often went off across the whole floor.
