The manager confirmed by phone, after I asked why, that the early check-in fee was 150000 rupiah. That was for arriving 1.5 hours before 2 o’clock, even though I’d paid only 140000 for the whole day. I was really upset that the staff wanted us to pay that much. The rooms and furniture are very old. D’Paragon used to be one of the best room-price options among the hundreds of Indonesian companies and hotels like RedDors......, but there’s been no investment in updating the interiors or furniture 😢

For a stay of at least a month, D'Paragon is very cheap: a full month costs Rp. 2,000,000, or about USD $160. There are several locations in Jogja, so you can pick one close to your activities or the city. The rooms are standard, with air conditioning and an attached bathroom. It’s a homestay, so don’t expect too much service.
