We paid IDR 2,050,000 per month, but even changing the bed sheets cost extra. Laundry was IDR 15,000, with another IDR 5,000 - IDR 10,000 for a little extra. If we didn’t bring laundry within a day or two, they wouldn’t take it. The clothes came back dirty, damaged, faded, and smelling bad. A faucet broke, and after we asked for it to be fixed, we waited almost two months. We’d already said the sound of water trickling bothered us, but the response was very slow. The facilities were limited, the mattress was foam, it was hot without AC, and the furniture was ordinary for the price. We also had to wait more than a week for our deposit back. Because the transfer was to a different bank, the landlord asked us to pay the admin fee too. Thankfully, we’ve now found a cheaper, cleaner boarding house with better facilities. It’s not a small amount of money to keep paying more.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the building still feels fairly new. The area outside the rooms could be cleaner, perhaps because there’s only one guard. The facilities could use an upgrade too, since other places offer more for the same price. It’s an okay, affordable option if you need somewhere to stay in Yogyakarta.

The parking is spacious, the rooms are large, and the building is new. Getting there is easy from the ring road, and the entrance is a fairly wide road, not a narrow alley. The bed is the main thing that needs attention: the sheets, pillowcases, and bolsters smelled awful, like the armpits of ancient humans. The AC is undersized, so the room feels stuffy. For the price, the facilities fall short. No matter how nice or spacious the place is, you mainly need a good bed to sleep in.
