The hotel was tidy and good. Just keep in mind there’s no lift.

The room was quiet and clean, though it had a damp smell when I first walked in. The hotel has a modern, artistic look, and it’s near food stalls and Pakuwon Mal. It’s also not too far from the city center. Service was okay, and for the price, it felt worthwhile.

The location works well, with coffee shops and places to eat around Seturan and Babarsari, but this isn’t my favorite for now. We had two rooms with single beds, both spacious enough for two. The hostel has a quirky, hip atmosphere, though the cleanliness in both rooms could be better. The furniture could use an update too, and a small fridge would help. There’s even an empty space under the desk that looks like it was meant for one. The towels were clean and smelled nice. The linens were just okay and could be improved. The toilet and shower were great, with strong water pressure. There’s no elevator, so you’ll need to take the stairs, and watch your step because they can get slippery after other guests use the pool. For now, I’d give it 6/10.

The place is very clean overall, and most nights were quiet. Early Sunday morning was an exception, when children started shouting in the pool. Still, for this price I think there are better hotel options near the train station. This hotel used to be an exclusive boarding house, and it might appeal if you have fond school boarding-house memories. From outside it looks very green, but the room felt like a cell. It was tiny, like a matchbox, and the window looked onto the outdoor hallway where people walk to their rooms. The glass is tinted for privacy because it faces a public area, so you can’t see outside unless you open the door. There’s no sink in the toilet, so we had to use the shower tap to brush our teeth and wash our hands. One night would be manageable, but after our three-night stay it started to feel claustrophobic.
