I picked one of the less expensive hotels recommended by the tour admin because I wanted to catch the sunrise with Merapi Mountain behind it. It still wasn't exactly cheap, about 370,000 rupiah including tax. Breakfast was included, but I forgot to mention that my son can't eat spicy food, so he couldn't have any. The room was huge, with two king-size beds. I’m completely sure the sheets hadn't been washed. The pillows looked so dirty in the picture that I decided not to sleep on them. There was a sofa, or maybe just a chair, and it was so uncomfortable that the back kept falling off when you sat down. I don't recommend this place, and I won't come back.

The location is good, but upkeep is lacking. There’s lots of tall grass, which somehow makes the hotel more beautiful. The Kuta rooms in the new building are highly recommended.
