This villa sits amid lush greenery in the heart of Solo, Central Java, with the airport and a lively mall close by. It feels secluded while still being easy to reach. The Javanese and Balinese design shows in the carved wooden panels and traditional thatched roofs, and the handcrafted furniture carries that natural feel indoors. Large windows look out over the landscaped garden and pool. There’s also a stone path to a pond where colorful koi glide under the surface, with gently flowing water adding to the peaceful atmosphere. I enjoyed the option to lounge by the pool, have tea in the gardens, or explore Solo’s cultural heritage. It’s a calm, luxurious retreat near the city.

We had a great stay at Villa Aquin. The staff were friendly and attentive to details, and did their best to make sure we were comfortable. The villa has a lovely atmosphere and beautiful pool, while the clean rooms feel comfortable and homey. It’s a cosy, charming place to relax with family.

We had a calm, relaxing stay that made our short break feel meaningful. My husband, toddler, and I spent 3 days 2 nights in a deluxe room. It was clean, had quite a few TV channels, and a window that circulated the air well. We were the only guests there at the time, even though I think the villa has six rooms, so it felt very private. The pool was quite big, very clean, and 1,4m deep. We really enjoyed it, but toddlers and kids who can’t swim need to be watched carefully.

The pool is 1,6 ms deep, and they charge Rp 30k for a floating mat. One thing to watch for is flies around food. Aside from that, it’s a superb place to escape the routine and settle into a Balinese ambience, with nice hospitality and breakfast.

It feels very homey, and the hotel is clean with friendly staff. They don’t serve breakfast, but there are lots of warung around the hotel.
