Wasabinua hotel & dive resort

There aren’t many options around, but this place has a lot going for it: it’s quiet and peaceful out of town, yet only 15 mins by bike taxi. No hot water, though the a/c worked fine. When we stayed, there was no beer, but the cafe has a lovely sunset view and you can do some simple snorkeling right out front. Wangi wangi hasn’t developed much for tourism, so it’s easy for wasabinusa to stand out. I hope it keeps being such a relaxed place with friendly, helpful staff. Easily better than most places nearby.

The restaurant sits on a rock, which makes for a nice location, and the snorkeling was okay. The staff were nice, but the accommodation was poor. Our door wouldn’t open all the way, for example, and the air conditioning was due to be replaced.

The orange juice and banana fried with sambal were not bad, though I didn’t try the food. It’s a nice place for dining and diving, with Japanese style architecture and a perfect view. Good spot for a casual meeting too.

Pak Hasan takes care of everything, and the employee and dive master are kind. This is a totally natural place with a view and hospitality you won’t find in another place. If you’re after high class facilities, this isn’t it.
