The hosts, who are a family, were friendly and helpful. They provide tea and coffee, a shared water dispenser and refrigerator, a working stove, and cooking and eating utensils. Since it’s shared living space, guests are expected to clean up afterward. The place was very clean throughout. This is a syariah accommodation, so people of different genders can’t share a room unless they’re married. It’s in a housing complex, away from crowds, with a minimart inside the complex. Taman Budaya is the nearest public place, on the opposite side of the complex entrance gate. You get two keys, one for your room and one for the front door. The room windows face indoors, but active exhaust fans in the high ceiling keep the air fresh. The air conditioning worked, though the night air was already cool, and hot water was available.
