Handara Golf & Resort Bali

The views were stunning everywhere, from the lobby and restaurant to the tennis courts. We came mainly for three days of tennis, and the courts were excellent: flat, well maintained, and without uneven patches. Every facility worked properly, and the staff were so friendly and attentive that the service felt on par with a five-star hotel. Bli Edi was a great driver, and the breakfast team made mornings especially nice by refilling drinks and offering omelets or noodles. Our room was comfortable, with a large bed and clean sheets, and housekeeping came twice daily, morning and evening. I also appreciated the working water dispensers, especially the cold water, instead of bottled mineral water. The bikes were in good condition and available to use for free before 9 a.m., a lovely way to see the surroundings. The airport is quite far, but the hotel’s pickup service was reasonably priced and made the journey easier. We had a wonderful stay that exceeded our expectations.

The bed and pillow were incredibly comfortable, and the garden and spectacular views made a beautiful setting. The smart TV was a nice addition too. My room had no AC, but it got very cold at night and stayed comfortable for me without needing the heater, which was available on request. Breakfast was just okay, though the view from the dining area was stunning. Service was top-notch, and the buggy rides were useful with everything spread out across the resort. There were a couple of disappointments: the small anniversary decor or amenities we requested weren’t prepared, and we found ants and geckos in the room. The breakfast coffee was a big letdown. My husband’s cappuccino was bland milk coffee with three bubbles on top, and the black coffee he ordered afterward had no taste. The tennis court could use refurbishment, though I heard renovation was planned for this month, so fingers crossed. Even with those issues, I’d return to Handara Resort and hope the coffee improves.

The spa and sauna were a real highlight, with lovely design and a relaxing feel after time outdoors or a quiet walk around the grounds. Handara Golf & Resort has a peaceful atmosphere, cool mountain air, and lush greenery that helped me slow down as soon as I arrived. The food was consistently delicious, and the staff were warm and attentive. The whole place felt calm and well cared for. A great spot to rest and reconnect with nature.

The service was so friendly and quick that I’d give it 11/10. It’s a long way out, but worth it if you want a break from the usual busy routine. The restaurant served fresh, tasty food in a cozy setting with a magical view, and the indoor and outdoor playgrounds were great for kids. My kids loved the place, and every area made a good photo. Buggies were available 24 hours a day. My Garden View room was refreshing, with a very clean toilet. There’s no AC, but the room is already cold, and you can ask for a heater. I’ll definitely be back.
