The Tetamian Bali

I’m not sure where to start. The algorithm sent me recommendations for other hotels, and I quickly noticed all the problems here. When I arrived, nobody was at check-in. I waited an hour, then went to the market, and nobody had contacted me. Maybe the main focus is the restaurant. There’s no onsite staff for 12 hours from evening until morning, which I was okay with. What crossed the line was finding a snake in the shower. I think there may have been two. I wouldn’t bring a family or kids here. Going solo seems doable, or maybe if you love snakes. The hotel was still investigating the snake issue when I wrote this. There are positives: Wayan is friendly, the location is excellent and remote, and it’s mostly quiet apart from some motorcycles, as you’d expect in Bali. The rooms are clean and don’t have a strange smell. The restaurant is tucked away here and only open from 8am to 6pm. The place has potential, but they need to put more focus on the hotel and hospitality. A thorough check of the amenities seems to be lacking. Someone else might have rated it one star, but I try to look for positives too.
