Choice City Hotel

At 5:00 a.m., a group of around 30 guests gathered outside our room and made a huge amount of noise until 6:30 a.m., waking us up. We asked them more than once to quiet down and called reception. They said they'd deal with it, but nothing changed. After they finally left, trash was on the floor. Their behavior was unacceptable, like animals in a zoo, and I think the hotel shouldn't tolerate this kind of low-level conduct from guests. The good service at check-in and the comfortable bed were completely overshadowed. We had a terrible night.

The poor hospitality made me check out at 10 PM with my little kid. I've stayed in all kinds of hotels, from cheap to expensive, and this was my worst experience. I knew it was a budget hotel and chose it because it's near my husband's workplace with a mall underneath, so I wasn't expecting much. The staff clearly need proper hospitality training.

The hotel sits on the 9th floor of BG Junction Mall, with plenty of places to eat in the mall and around it. For affordable street food, you can go outside. It's also conveniently near some city attractions. I had a wonderful stay. The staff were friendly, greeted guests, and worked efficiently. My superior room was generally okay, with cable TV, though the selection wasn't comprehensive. The dated-looking AC worked well, and the bathroom was spacious with toiletries topped up. There was no safe or iron. My window didn't face the cityscape. The gym was small, and its equipment wasn't good quality, but that was okay. The breakfast buffet was adequate, though there wasn't much of it. It mostly mixed local and western food, changing daily, with limited fruit and sweet options. I'd return.

Getting to the hotel means taking the mall's 'panoramic lift' by the south entrance. Reception staff were friendly, and both the room and bed were clean. The mattress was firm, and daily room cleaning was available. There are plenty of food options in the mall and along the road. I stayed a few nights last month.
