D'Carol Hotel

A really bad hotel choice. The room and washroom were dirty, and the reception staff weren't helpful. The linen had dirty marks. When we asked for fresh linen, they said it was all the same. We checked five rooms and found dirty linen in every one.

The sheets were the first problem. We paid for four rooms for my family, and every bed sheet had turned yellow even though they should be white. I also found 1-3 bed bugs, and you can see the wall in my picture 🤭🥹 I understand what “worth the price” means, so I wasn't expecting a fantastic hotel. But the beds should at least have proper sheets for what we paid. We checked in at 21:00, and the receptionist wasn't very humble or welcoming. I thought people in Soerabaja would be warm and humble, but this felt different from the service you'd expect at a hotel. I won't come back a second time. Sorry.

On the fifth floor, there's a connecting area between the buildings where you can sit, have coffee or tea, and look outside. The room itself was comfortable, though the bed was a little dirty. It's suitable for a low budget, and I thought it was okay overall.

The location works well, but the quality needs a lot of improvement. The sheets on the bed and pillows were yellowish, and so was the towel, which felt pretty gross. There was also a thin oily film on my room's floor.
