The team at Homey Guesthouse was so friendly and helpful. It’s a nice hotel. Martin especially, thanks for everything.

There wasn’t even a solution offered after all these problems. At check-in, the receptionist was incredibly slow and left me waiting at the desk for 15 minutes, only for me to find the room wasn’t ready. It smelled strongly of mosquito repellent, the WiFi didn’t work, and phone reception was poor. Several room sockets were broken, many were rusty, and there were cockroaches 😭. A bad experience from the start.

Honestly, I’d look elsewhere if your budget allows. The room and surroundings were poorly maintained, and room 6, where I stayed yesterday, smelled like a sewer. The AC toilet was cold, the bed was big, but one pillow smelled musty. I added one person to the room for 30k and said I’d transfer it later. While I was still showering, the guy kept insisting that I transfer it right away. I’m not upset with him, though. Thank you 🙏

The location is very strategic, and the place is clean with complete facilities. We found it comfortable for a family holiday in Surabaya and would stay here again.
