Livinn Hostel by Zen Rooms

My first stay in a capsule hotel left me impressed. Don’t be afraid to try one. It could be a good place to spend the night while you wait for the next day’s plans or travel schedule.

You’re right in the city center, near the train station, old town, shopping centers, and recreational areas. The basics are covered: a clean bed, cool AC, and a hot shower. The service is basic but decent. It can get noisy, and it doesn’t have much of a traveler vibe. A lot of guests seem busy on their phones, while some don’t keep the shower area clean, smoke, or chat loudly in shared spaces. For the location and price, I’d say it works well for backpackers and budget travelers.

The mattress was so thin I woke up with a sore back. There was no locker or room key, so anyone could walk in, and the WiFi didn’t work in the room. It was noisy, with the AC and lights on constantly. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The location worked well, with malls and lots of restaurants nearby. The bed was clean and comfortable, the room was mostly quiet, the temperature felt good, and the showers were nice. There are no lockers. With 20 people in the room, you have to leave your bags outside your bed, or keep them on the bed and lose your space. The hotel says it isn’t responsible for lost belongings. Breakfast was included, but it was toast with butter, a spread, or chocolate. There was no toaster, just a sandwich grill, and the tea and coffee came without milk or spoons. Two of the four bathroom taps didn’t work, there was no hand soap, and the toilets were often wet or dirty, with no paper much of the time. They don’t take card payments, and when we tried to pay cash, they had no change.
