The photos online looked fine, but the place was dirty when I arrived. My room was unclean, and when I asked the staff member for a different blanket and pillow, he said he couldn’t provide them. It seemed to me like this might have been the cleanest room they had.

The room was roomy enough for a standard double bed, and outside and around the hotel seemed okay. Inside, though, my first thought was that the rooms hadn’t been maintained. The wallpaper was peeling, which gave the place a creepy feel. I was on the third floor, facing an empty, abandoned kitchen, and the dining room was empty too. At least it stayed quiet all night.

I checked out as soon as I checked in. There was only one towel even though my booking through the app was for two people. The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but I found black ash on the sheet. There was thick dust and questionable stains on the bedding, plus pubic hair on the toilet, pillows, and sheets. The bathroom was still wet, the toilet hadn’t been flushed, and torn contact lenses were smeared across the sink. Oily smears were on the table, sink, and bedside tables too.

I was excited when I saw this hotel in the app, but what a bad experience. The water was off until midnight and still wasn’t working in the morning. When I asked for a towel, reception told me to wait but never brought one, so I bought one outside. I went out that night for food and water, leaving my things and snacks in the room. When I came back, some snacks had been opened and some cakes were missing. The door wouldn’t lock, and the curtains were broken, so I felt exposed and unsafe.
