Palm Park Hotel Surabaya

The staff were friendly and quick to respond, and there’s a small playground in the lobby. Those were the only good parts of our stay. We were there for one night, checked in very late, and found smelly, disgusting rooms full of tiny cockroaches. We changed rooms three times. The third still had roaches in the bathroom, so we blocked the drain and the gap under the door with a bath mat, hoping they wouldn't get into the room, or worse, our ears. Breakfast was mediocre, and there was even a dead cockroach on the sushi plate. We stopped eating as soon as we saw it. I had a bad feeling about breakfast and wish I’d listened to my gut and skipped it. If cleanliness and hygiene don't concern you, go ahead and book. I wouldn't stay again.

I attended an event arranged by Wahid Foundation Jakarta, and the hotel provided very good service during it. The rooms, restaurant, and ballroom were good, and I enjoyed the food. It was my first visit, and I liked staying here. They do need to make sure the lift is working properly all the time. Thanks.

Inside, the hotel was a pleasant surprise: the lobby and third-floor reception looked clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful, and security quickly helped with my luggage. Guests get welcome drinks at check-in. My deluxe room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, a big contrast with the seedy surroundings and traditional market nearby. The price wasn't too high, and for what we got, it felt worth it.

Service was very friendly, and the rooms were fairly spacious, clean, and comfortable. It's close to the mall, and I got two free movie tickets when booking here. Parking the car was a bit difficult since the lobby is on the top floor. There's a children's play area and pool table in the fairly large lobby. The corridor from the elevator to the room is a long walk, though there's a lounge partway along.
