Grand HAP Hotel

The breakfast was a real plus for me. It’s included for everyone staying, and there was a good range of food. I tried fried rice, penne, cereal, sushi, and a few desserts, and liked them all. The room was clean and tidy, and the cable TV had both local and international channels, which suited me better than a smart TV. My room had three separate single beds, handy for three adults, and the weekday rate felt cheap for a four-star hotel. It’s also fairly close to the city center, so online taxis were cheap for getting around, while the nearby area itself was quiet. I had a couple of problems in the room. The hot water didn’t work the way I wanted, and my showers stayed cold no matter how much I tried to fix it. The Wi-Fi was inconsistent too. Sometimes it disappeared even after I logged in with the username and password they provided. When I checked in on the seventh floor at 3 PM on 2026/01/02, several of us couldn’t unlock our doors by tapping our cards. I reported it with the others, but it took longer to sort out mine, and I was the last person able to get into my room. The employees were friendly and responsive. They said the cards needed time before they could be used, which seemed odd since I’d never had that issue at other hotels. Would I stay again if I visit Surakarta? I’m not sure. There are other hotel brands in the suburban area that I know better and consider a similar level of quality.
