RedDoorz Syariah @ Fariza Guesthouse Kendal

I stopped here for a break before continuing on to Bandung. It’s close to the main road, and the price is cheap.

In Room 5, the bathroom cleaning needs work. The drain area was dirty, with quite a bit of grime built up, and the inside of the wardrobe was moldy. The hangers were rusty too. There’s a TV, but only one outlet, so I couldn’t tell how to power both it and the SB. Was I supposed to plug in the SB and leave the TV off? The bathroom’s not being cleaned properly is disappointing.

There were no responses at all, and the staff seemed unprofessional. One staff member would peek into rooms through the glass above the door. It makes me wonder whether they really intend to run this guesthouse.

I ended up having to look for somewhere else to stay. I’d booked through Traveloka and checked into two rooms, but when I arrived, the guard wasn’t there on standby. At the location, I was told the owner was full and only one room was available.
