Griyo Kulo Syariah Solo

The affordable price and convenient location were the only positives for me. I booked through Traveloka thinking I was getting Griya Kulo, but was sent to Ndalem Tengah Hotel instead. If that’s where the booking is for, why is it listed in the Griya Kulo app rather than under its own name? I know the photos include the details, but not everyone looks through every photo and piece of information. When I asked, the receptionist spoke loudly and rudely, told me to read more carefully, and used inappropriate language. I understand staff were working after Eid, but I still expected professionalism. I arrived at 1:40 PM, before the 2:00 PM check-in time, and waited until 2:10 PM without the room being ready. It felt like the staff weren’t being transparent and were giving priority to other guests despite my earlier arrival. The place itself wasn’t comfortable, though I know you get what you pay for. I had planned to stay two nights, but I checked out early and found another hotel because it was uncomfortable and the staff were unfriendly. The mattress and pillows smelled like animal urine, perhaps from cockroaches or something, I’m not sure. Neighbors smoked a lot, and their cigarette smoke came into the room when the door or window was open.
