The location in a prime part of Solo makes this place worth the price, and I’d happily stay again when I’m back. The staff were so warm and helpful, and the 24-hour room service had tasty local food at very affordable prices. My room was roomy, neat, and clean, and the lobby felt welcoming even though the outside looked a bit dull. I’d originally planned to stay at Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel, but it was full during Lebaran Season 2025, when I was staying for 6 nights. They suggested their sister hotel, Griyadi By Sahid Kusuma Solo, which is a 2-star place. I only found out in my last two days that guests here can use public facilities at Kusuma Sahid Hotel Prince, including the pools and bikes. There’s no dental kit, which was fine with me. It seems like this was once an iconic hotel, and a few upgrades, especially to the facade, could bring back its charm.

The location worked well for attractions, and we were offered free use of the swimming pool at Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel down the road. In the morning there are a couple of food stalls nearby, though there aren’t any shops or convenience stores for drinks and snacks in the evening. The hotel feels old-fashioned, which seems fair for the price. Our room was large and the AC worked well, but the mattress felt old and springy, and the sockets weren’t very handy. We didn’t have the room cleaned, but reception gave us fresh towels when we asked.
