I booked through agoda and had already paid by e-money, but then they asked for extra money to use the AC, so the price didn’t match what was shown in the app. The bathroom was very dirty, and the pillow and mattress sheets smelled really bad, probably because they hadn’t been changed. The staff were noisy and made me uncomfortable.

My friend booked through OYO and paid online, but this place was actually being run as a transit boarding house. When he arrived, they asked him to pay again. I was shocked when he messaged me on WhatsApp from Solo; we’d agreed to meet at Solo Square. I’d found the place advertised in a Facebook group for boarding houses around Solo. He still wasn’t convinced, so he contacted a broker who claimed to be an admin. The broker sent him a transit price list and a security fee. The local listing was indeed for Dkost. Then the prospective guest was told to click the card showing the person guarding the boarding house and check the chat and total payment. There seemed to be many prospective guests for this transit place.
